Privacy policy
Last updated 6 September 2026
Who is responsible for your information?
Steven Black, a sole trader trading as Steve Black Coaching in Northern Ireland, is responsible for deciding how your personal information is used (the data controller).
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email steve@steveblackcoaching.com.
This notice covers this Unbreakable website, requests for the free 7-Day Busy Dad Reset, coaching enquiries and optional marketing emails. Paid coaching, payments and health records are outside the scope of this notice. Please read the privacy information provided during coaching enrolment before submitting those details.
What information is collected?
- Your email address and any name you choose to provide when requesting the guide.
- Your signup source, confirmation and marketing choices, together with dates and records needed to show what you requested or agreed to.
- Messages you send, including contact details and information needed to answer your enquiry.
- Technical information processed by website and email providers, such as IP address, browser details, delivery failures and security logs.
- Email delivery and link-click records reported by MailerLite, and historical open reports recorded before open tracking was disabled for the free-guide workflow on 6 September 2026.
The free-guide form does not ask for payment details, medical information or progress photographs. Please do not include health information in a general enquiry.
Why your information is used
Delivering the guide: your email is used to confirm your request, send the guide and resolve delivery problems. The lawful basis is legitimate interests: fulfilling a request you chose to make. Your email is needed for email delivery; your name is optional.
Optional marketing: coaching tips, nutrition advice and offers are sent only if you separately opt in. The lawful basis is consent. Requesting the guide or confirming your address does not, by itself, give permission for marketing.
Enquiries: information is used to answer your questions. This relies on legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering a contract where you enquire about buying coaching.
Security and record keeping: limited records support the legitimate interests of preventing abuse, maintaining reliable services, handling complaints and respecting opt-outs. Information is also retained where needed to meet a legal obligation.
Your marketing choice
You can receive the free guide without signing up for coaching offers. The marketing checkbox is optional and unticked by default. Confirming your email address confirms your guide request; it does not change the marketing choice you made on the form.
You can object to direct marketing at any time. Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or contact the address above. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier use of your information.
Who receives your information?
MailerLite provides the signup forms, subscriber records and email delivery. Website hosting and infrastructure providers, including the Sites hosting service and Cloudflare, process information needed to serve and protect this website. Email service providers process enquiries and replies.
These providers receive information needed for their services. Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers or authorities where necessary to handle a legal matter or meet a legal obligation. Signup information is not sold, and a guide request does not subscribe you to another business's mailing list.
If you follow a link to Kahunas, Instagram or another external service, its own privacy information also applies. A free-guide request does not require a Kahunas account.
International processing
Service providers may process information outside the UK. MailerLite describes its international processing and contractual safeguards, including its UK Addendum arrangements, in its Data Processing Addendum. Contact the address above for details of the destinations and safeguards applying to your information, or to request a copy of relevant safeguards.
How long information is kept
Guide-only contact details are kept while delivery and related enquiries are being resolved, then removed when no longer needed unless there is another valid reason to retain them.
Marketing contact details are kept while you remain subscribed and the relationship remains relevant. Inactivity, outstanding enquiries and your choices are the criteria used to decide whether records are still needed. Enquiry records are kept while the matter remains open and for any further period needed to handle a complaint or legal claim.
Limited consent and suppression records may be retained after you unsubscribe to demonstrate your choices and prevent unwanted re-subscription. Retention depends on the purpose, any outstanding issue and applicable legal obligations; it does not justify continuing to send marketing.
Cookies, links and email measurement
This version of the Unbreakable website does not load Meta Pixel or Google Analytics scripts. Links may include campaign labels that identify the promotion or page a visit came from.
Hosted signup forms and external services use their own technologies for security and form operation. Their privacy and cookie information explains those services.
Open tracking is disabled for the free 7-Day Busy Dad Reset delivery workflow. Historical open reports from before this setting changed on 6 September 2026 may remain in MailerLite. Disabling open tracking does not delete those records.
MailerLite also reports delivery and link-click activity against subscriber records. Disabling open tracking does not mean that link-click measurement is disabled. These reports help identify delivery problems and use of the guide links. Contact the address above to ask about these records or object to their use. Agreeing to coaching tips and offers does not by itself provide consent to tracking technologies.
No decisions with legal or similarly significant effects are made about you solely by automated processing in this signup flow.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your information, have it erased, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive eligible information in a portable format. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions. Reasonable information may be requested to verify your identity.
Contact steve@steveblackcoaching.com to make a request. You can also complain directly to the UK Information Commissioner's Office through ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or call 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
This notice will be updated if the signup service or use of information changes. Any new use requiring consent will need a separate choice; updating this page alone does not provide that consent.
